1977 STINGRAY FRONT FENDER EMBLEMS. WHICH WAS ORIGINAL? WORDS STINGRAY OR CROSS FLAGS

The flags were the original. 1976 was last year for the "Stingray" text. (1969 was 1st year)

I have a 77 and always wanted a Stingray. So I bought the Stingray name plates for a 76 fit like a champ. In 18 years only one person has caught it. My 68 did not have Stingray on it either, was bummed out, but did not alter that car (wish I had it back)

Thought about putting "Stingray" on my '77,until a 17 yo girl hit me head-on at around 50 mph & totalled it,and almost me also..Now I have a '79.Think I should put them on it?
