is it possible that worn trailing arm bushings would make the car pull to one side

Most often if the car pulls to one side it is a front end issue. Tire pressure, and most common is aligment. For the rear an easy check is the camber of each rear wheel. All you need is 15" level and just check for plumb, on the rim 0 degree is ok.Cheers
