I just replaced my control valve on my 1976 and now it steering to easy and
will not return to center, on its own. The valve is a reman from vette products in MI.
Can you Help !!

Hello. This post should probably be in the Tech forum but anways..

I too recently replaced my power steering control valve so I'm a little familiar with this topic.

There is an adjustment procedure that should be followed. With engine running, and no steering input, the control rod shouldn't being going in or out. The procedure is something like, tighten clockwise just until rod goes out, record position of adjustment nut, then go counter-clockwise until rod goes in. Tighten nut to midpoint of those two. If you haven't done this then give it a try.

What do you mean it doesn't re-center? Do you mean the steering wants to constantly turn to one direction? If so then adjust as above. But if you mean during driving the car doesn't want to track straight (wanders too easily left or right) then you need to adjust the alignment. Your toe could be off.
